CS Civils pride itself on delivering a strong culture of safety, training, and welfare for the benefit of all our employees and operatives.

The 2014 Health Safety and Environment Review was completed in February and presented to all staff and clients. As a result of the significant training investment made in 2013 and close working relationship with both our training consultants and the CITB, each member of staff now has their own recorded training plan. This generates not just a strong core standard of competency for every operative, but provides a development pathway for the ambitious.

Praising the commitment of the management team and staff in developing it’s health and safety culture Managing Director Steve Openshaw said “From day one we adopted a 100% CSCS compliance system and made sure we review all policies and procedures regularly which are then presented to staff and clients alike. We ensure that safety awareness and training is delivered frequently to suit the scenario, be it an on-site tool box talk, weekly site inspection, monthly audit, or a company training day.

This has brought us zero reportable accidents since our formation and praise from many quarters within the industry. By offering a training pathway to every member of staff we can ensure the levels of training are high and that those who wish to progress through the ranks are given the opportunity”.
